INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE. Please join us on Wednesday, September 8, at 12 noon for an interfaith prayer service in our church.  Ministers of all faiths are coming together at Holy Trinity for prayers and as a show of solidarity and love for one another.  Please join us.

NEWCOMER CLASSES BEGIN SEPTEMBER 12. If you are new to Holy Trinity or the Episcopal Church, The Rev. Louanne Loch invites you to join her for three newcomer classes beginning Sunday September 12 and ending September 26.  The classes will be held in the chapel at 9:15 a.m.  We will take a walk together through the prayer book and hymnal as well as discuss the polity of the Episcopal Church and the structure and governance of the local parish.  On September 26 we will officially welcome you into the parish at either the 8 a.m. or the 10:30 a.m. service and introduce you to your new community of faith.

GRANDPARENT’S TEA…all grandparents, seniors, and friends are invited to the Grandparents & Seniors Tea on Sunday, September 12, after the 10:30 service during coffee hour in Page Parish Hall.

THE FIRST SERVICE OF COMPLINE is Sunday, September 12 at 8 p.m., sung by the Gentlemen of the Choir.  Join us for this service of prayers, sung by candlelight at the close of the day.

CALICIFERS AND LECTORS are reminded to submit their conflicts of schedules for the last quarter of 2010 (October through December).  Please send them to office@holytrinitygnv.org by September 15.

PARISH JOB NETWORKING BOARD. Please note the new ‘jobs networking’ bulletin board located at the side entrance on 2nd Ave.  This bulletin board is available for parishioners to post jobs and volunteer work needed, providing ways to connect the skills of our parishioners to the needs of potential employers and other people in the parish.

ROCK-THE-UNIVERSE. The Youth Group will kick off the year with a trip to Universal Studios for Rock-the-Universe on Saturday, September 11.  Rock-the-Universe is a weekend of faith and love through Rock ‘N Roll.  We will gather at HT at 2:00 p.m. and then the chaperones will drive cars down to Universal.  We will spend the evening at Universal and return to Gainesville late at night for a lock-in at the Church.  If you are in 6th-12th grade we’d love to have you.  You are more than welcome to bring a friend.  If you have any questions, please see The Rev. John Satula or give him a call at the Church office.
