Choose God’s dream over human nightmares.

God’s message in Christ Jesus isn’t just a comfort — it’s also meant to challenge.

Jesus welcomes us as we are and invites into a process of change and growth that leads to new life — life as God dreams for us, “life in all its fullness.” ①

As Bishop Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, wrote:

“Being a Christian is not essentially about joining a church or being a nice person, but about following in the footsteps of Jesus, taking his teaching seriously, letting his Spirit take the lead in our lives, and in so doing helping to change the world from our nightmare into God’s dream.” ②

That’s the challenge we’re pursuing at Holy Trinity.

Sometimes we get it right, sometimes wrong. But we keep at it, because we’re all works in progress in God’s patient hands.

And because, in the end, nothing else is truly worth our while.
